Our Meditation Sessions
We practice meditation, mindfulness, and Zen Buddhism in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. See the About Us page for more info about the group.

A typical in-person meditation session consists of:

Guided meditation (approx. 20 min)

Walking meditation (approx. 10 min)
-
Silent sitting meditation (approx. 15-20 min)

Mindful break / stretching (approx. 5-10 min)

Singing practice songs (approx. 5-10 min)
-
A reading on Buddhist teachings (we pass a book around the circle and each of us reads a paragraph from it if we wish) (approx. 15 min)

Dharma sharing: sharing our experience with the practice in our daily lives or asking questions, if we wish. See the Dharma Sharing Guidelines (approx. 30 min)
A typical online Zoom meditation session consists of:

Guided meditation (approx. 20 min)

Walking meditation \ Mindful movements (approx. 15 min)

A reading \ video on Buddhist teachings (approx. 20 min)

All are welcome.

Attendance is free of charge (donations welcome).

No experience is necessary.

The sessions are facilitated by experienced meditation practitioners.

We have an email list for announcements and sharing about practice. Click here to sign up or sign up in person at a meditation session.

We have a Sangha Library for in-person sessions from which you can buy books on meditation and Buddhism.

You are welcome to ask the facilitators in person or in email questions about meditation, mindfulness, Buddhist practice, as well as personal issues.

You are encouraged to speak with and make friendships with other people in the group! It is very helpful to have friends who are also practicing this path.
